Abstract

Since the beginning of the current century, there has been talk in Western academic and defense circles about the evolution that war has been presenting. Among the multiplicity of concepts that have emerged, the concept of “hybrid war” has become popular, which has positioned itself as the most recurrent when it comes to explaining the current transformations of conflicts. However, this has not managed to be sufficiently solid conceptually and empirically, in addition to evidencing a certain complicity of the West when it comes to using it in order to try to evade responsibility for its military shortcomings that have been presented to it in the challenges of recent years.
