The multidimensional security of the nation must consider all the aspects with which it can position itself within the international system and the valuation of conventional military capabilities (hardpower) should be provided with the valuation of cultural capabilities, political values and foreign policy. Within the framework of the expression of cultural capacities, sport is an undeniable factor that projects the capacity of nations and even as expressed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) “the practice of sport is a human right” and the International Paralympic Committee (ICC) “accessibility is a basic human right and a fundamental pillar of social justice”; it should then be considered that the positioning of nations in sports competitions reinforces the concept of legitimacy within the framework of the International System and adds value in terms of national identity and the positioning of the country.
