Comprehensive Action in the Colombian Navy: A strategy to win hearts and minds

Integral Action in the Military Forces is a key strategic tool for strengthening civil-military relations, promoting territorial stabilization and fostering social development in vulnerable regions affected by the armed conflict. This article analyzes three emblematic cases of the Colombian National Army that illustrate how these interventions have positively impacted the quality of life of communities and consolidated trust in state institutions. In particular, the participation of Professional Reserve Officers is analyzed as an essential element in the design and execution of these strategies, contributing to their sustainability and cultural relevance. The achievements are evidenced, and the challenges that persist in relation to inter-institutional articulation, the sustainability of the initiatives and the overcoming of historical tensions between the communities and the Armed Forces are identified.
